Imagine Christmas or your birthday: Great food, friends and family – then the pleasure of relaxing on the couch in the evening with a gift box of chocolates. It’s hard to think what it would be like without this melt-in-the-mouth treat.

Don’t worry! You can continue to enjoy your chocolate because SOFTENOL® 3108 ensures flawless production through the correct lubrication of the machinery used. The confectionery industry is booming! Clear the stage for SOFTENOL® 3108!

To avoid the situation just described or to prevent the chocolate from sticking, the machine parts are lubricated with SOFTENOL® 3108. In addition, SOFTENOL® 3108 is listed by the NSF as an H1 lubricant and thus officially belongs to the group of food-compatible lubricants. It can therefore be used in equipment that comes into contact with food.

Particularly important for the production of chocolate, however, is the fact that SOFTENOL® 3108 is odourless, colourless and tasteless, and accordingly does not alter or distort the sweet chocolate experience. Thank goodness for that – Easter just wouldn’t be the same without chocolate bunnies!

Dr. Andreas Wintzer

Dr. Andreas Wintzer is Technical Product Manager in the Technical Applications Business Unit at IOI Oleo GmbH. He studied Chemistry at TU Dortmund University with an emphasis on technical chemistry, particularly in the area of renewable raw materials. The extensive knowledge he acquired during his studies is the perfect basis for his work at IOI. Before joining IOI Oleo GmbH, Andreas completed a trainee programme at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands, then gained production experience as a technologist at Papierfabrik Hagen, which at the time belonged to the Stora Enso group. He enjoys sports, regularly rides to work by bike and preferably spends his leisure time with his family or friends.
