Reinforcement for the IOI family – Four new colleagues in Asia

Reliability and solution orientation are just two points that characterize IOI Oleo GmbH. Our aim is to work in partnership with you in order to be able to incorporate your needs into our daily effort. In order to be in even more direct contact with you, we have expanded our presence in Asia, one of our growth markets. We can now welcome four new colleagues to our ranks and introduce them here.

Within the last six months we have been able to inspire four great people for IOI Oleo GmbH, who will strengthen the Pharma and Personal Care business units.

In October 2021, Chloe Cheng made the beginning and started as “Sales Manager Pharma East Asia”. She lives in Wuhan, China and, in addition to her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, also completed an MSc in International Business in England. She has gained her sales experience in the personal care and pharmaceutical sectors over the past seven years, most recently at the French company Imerys. She is now strengthening our team in the Pharma business unit and is contributing her professional experience in this field.

Kar Wee Kam
Sales Manager Pharma South APAC

Since December 2021 we have received further support for the pharma business unit from Kar Wee Kam. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he will serve our customers in Southeast Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand as Sales Manager Pharma South APAC. Kar Wee Kam holds a Bachelor in Biotechnology and brings fifteen years of sales and business development experience in the life science and pharmaceutical industries. For the last six years he worked for the German company JRS Pharma.

Jou Wen Lee also operates from Kuala Lumpur as a quasi-neighbor and has been strengthening the Personal Care business unit since January 2022. Our “Sales Manager Personal Care South APAC” has a Bachelor of Science in food studies and worked in sales in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industry for 21 years. In the role of Sales Manager he has worked for multinational companies such as Galderma, Mega Lifesciences and most recently Lallemand and CSL. Now he is immersing himself in the beautiful world of the cosmetics industry and is responsible for the Southeast Asia and India region.

John Wang
Sales Manager Personal Care East Asia

Our most recent addition is John Wang, whom we welcomed in March 2022. He is “Sales Manager Personal Care East Asia” in Shanghai and is responsible for our customers from China, Japan and Korea. He has a bachelor’s degree in polymer materials and engineering and has 10 years of professional experience in raw material sales in the cosmetics industry, including at Merck Display Materials in account management.

We are happy about our new colleagues. Thus the IOI family is becoming even more international, diverse and colorful. Get to know our “Asia Team”, they will be happy to answer any questions you may have!
