The topical therapy approach is the first choice for skin diseases. However, in order to ensure the intended therapeutic success, the patient’s cooperation is indispensable – especially in the case of chronic diseases. A pleasant skin feeling is the prerequisite for enabling the patient to use creams or ointments in compliance with the prescription. The combination of uncompromisingly high quality and pleasant skin feeling is therefore of decisive importance for the Pharma business unit of IOI Oleo GmbH.
The product portfolio of the Pharma business unit is appreciated worldwide with its brand names such as IMWITOR®, MIGLYOL®, SOFTIGEN®, SOFTISAN®, DYNASAN® and WITEPSOL®. Our products stand for proven quality and unique performance and bring numerous benefits to your final formulation. We ensure this promised quality of our products through our state-of-the-art production facilities and seamless control, from the incoming raw materials to the outgoing goods.
We utilise the synergies with the Personal Care business unit within IOI Oleo GmbH for the benefit of our customers. With formulation know-how and expertise in sensorial technology, we are able to provide our customers with project-specific raw material recommendations, adapt formulations or develop basic formulations.
Our products are primarily used as emollients, emulsifiers, solubilizers, effect enhancers, viscosity regulators and as bases for creams. The fact that they are up to 100% of plant origin is just one facet that shows that sustainability is an existential part of our corporate values. IOI Oleo GmbH underlines this aspiration by taking major steps such as membership in the PSCI and the “Forum Nachhaltiges Palmöl” (FONAP), the company-wide switch to green electricity or the launch of the “Transformation Concept”. But it also includes the formulation of water-free products, which illustrates our holistic approach tothe topic of sustainability.
Janine Harnik
Janine Harnik is Product Manager Pharma at IOI Oleo GmbH. With altogether more than 15 years of experience in Sales and Product Management in the areas of Phamaceuticals, Cosmetics and Nutrition, she has a comprehensive view of the business. She finds the wide variety of applications for our vegetable-based specialties particularly fascinating. Instruction leaflets, INCIs and ingredient lists are all read closely wherever the opportunity arises – after all, you never stop learning. In her leisure time, Janine has always been an enthusiastic volleyball player and when she is not on the volleyball court with her team, she enjoys spending time with her family.
