Stepping into the Future: Our new Lipid Excellence Center (LEC) as a Stimulus for Innovation and Cooperation

With the construction of our new Lipid Excellence Center, we are opening a new chapter in the development of our company. This building unites the areas of R&D, Application Technology and Analytics, while providing a central location for the offices at the site. The Lipid Excellence Center is far more than just a building: It stands not only for a spatial concentration of specialist knowledge and technology, but above all for the strategic pooling of our competences, values and vision.

Our aim is to realise new ideas in a customer and environment-oriented way, actively participate in shaping technological developments and, together with our parent company, set ground-breaking momentum for the entire group.

The Lipid Excellence Center will become an incubator for creative solutions – carried by interdisciplinary teams, short decision-making processes and a clear focus on our goals. At the same time, we never lose sight along the way of what defines us: our values − the basis on which we generate responsible growth. The LEC will make this culture tangible by promoting cooperation, sharing knowledge and connecting people.

However, the LEC is not an isolated project, but an integral part of our long-term corporate strategy; moreover, it represents a clear commitment of our parent company to progress, responsibility, common strength and a sustainable growth strategy, which promote both innovation and excellence.

IOI Oleo sees itself as a reliable partner that provides customer-oriented solutions, sets impetus, enables innovations and helps to shape the operative implementation of strategic goals. Through the close links to our parent company, we strengthen our market position, on the one hand, and, on the other, are one of the active innovation drivers within the group.

Odile Vollertsen is Head of the Marketing department at IOI Oleo GmbH. Following her studies in Law and Business Administration in France, her curiosity led the French native to Germany. Through her willingness to explore new paths and work with different people, and her fascination for customers’ products and needs, Odile gained relevant experience in the areas of BtoB and BtoC in a variety of positions, both in medium-sized structures and international groups (Henkel and Beiersdorf). She finds stimulation in architecture and design and relaxation in painting with acrylics, cooking or yoga…. The world of fragrances has been a special inspiration to her for many years now.
