Purely vegetable-based oleochemical innovations and specialties
In facial creams, medication, sports nutrition or styrofoam packaging – our highly specialized products have such a variety of application areas that we hold them in our hands every day without realizing it. We produce a wide range of multifunctional ingredients from natural vegetable oils and their derivatives, which are used in the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and food industries and in technical applications.
As a founding member of the RSPO (Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil), we accept our responsibility and have committed to using only natural, renewable raw materials that are grown and produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.

Our employees, who work in production, technical site management, laboratory, research and development, marketing and sales as well as in the commercial area, ensure that the chemistry is good within the company. Martin Rossi
Day Shift Supervisor Filling, Production Site Witten
„I am responsible for everything related to filling. I make sure that all filling plants run smoothly, regardless of whether they are for liquid fat filling, pastillation or flaking. A great deal of attention is paid to our active ingredient filling, where we fill pharmaceutical products under clean room conditions.
What I particularly appreciate about IOI is that I was promoted here. I started my apprenticeship as a chemical technician in 2008 and then worked as a chemical technician in the plant from 2012 to 2015. In 2015 I became a foreman for the filling and have been a day shift supervisor here since 2017.”

“I did my apprenticeship at IOI Oleo GmbH, was taken on after my successful completion of the training and now work as an electronics technician for industrial engineering. My area of responsibility is maintenance, which is very extensive and, above all, very varied. Maintenance includes, for example, the servicing and repairing of various systems and measurements, such as a level measurement of a container or the associated temperature measurement. But it also includes learning how to properly install sockets and lamps.
For me, working at IOI Oleo GmbH means that you can always continue to train and further educate yourself in your job. If you ever need help, there is always someone to help you.”

“My job is in the area of quality management. We are responsible for ensuring that the customer receives the ordered quality. For this purpose, processes that must be established include the recording of requirements, the production and the control of the end product. Our job is to monitor these processes and check them for conformity to the specified standards.
The job facets I appreciate at IOI Oleo GmbH are the interdisciplinary work and the associated collaboration with my colleagues. Hardly a day is the same as the next, because of constantly new tasks.
